The #1 Way to Beat Your Opponent

“This is my life and these times are so hard … success is my only option, failure’s not.”

— Eminem, Lose Yourself

Love him or hate him, Eminem is a genius.

I was reminded of his creativity during a recent training session some of us Ligers attended with Sales Arbiter.

For many (if not most) sales doesn’t come as second nature.

But as Crispin pointed out during our session — you’ve gotta put everything on the line.

“Tell the prospect it’s okay if they hang up on you.”

If you do that — what is there to fear?

It’s the same in other aspects of your business and marketing.

If you call out your fears, you take away your competitors’ / haters’ / doubters’ (fill in the blank) ability to do so.

Warning: this clip uses strong language.

“Rabbit,” Eminem’s character in 8 Mile, has nothing and everything to lose.

So — he puts it all on the line, revealing everything he knows his opponent is about to expose, leaving the opponent speechless.

Rabbit wins against all odds.

He retracts, becomes quiet — then he comes out swinging.

Success is your only option.

Many are struggling right now.

Many are not “good” in front of the camera…

They’re not “good” writers.

They’re not “good” salespeople.

What are you “not good” at?

Put it all on the line. Do it anyway. Learn. Become better.

Succeed.
